In an inspiring story of superheroic proportions, actress Kris Bernal has emerged as a real-life hero, armed not with capes or spidey senses, but with an oversupply of breast milk!
In an Instagram post, Kris flexed her incredible ability to assist other moms struggling with breastfeeding their infants.
“I haven’t talked about it but God truly blessed me with an oversupply. And, He even blessed me more by how I am able to donate to precious NICU babies or preemies and other moms who haven’t been able to do the same,” said Kris in her post.
Kris’ “superpowers” started with her refusal to let any drop of liquid gold go to waste. So, when her own baby turned up her nose at thawed breastmilk from the freezer, Kris decided to put her stashed breast milk to good use by donating it to those in need.
“POV: A mom, who collects every single drop of milk possible just to find her baby refuses it thawed and exclusively wants it always fresh. So, she just donates them!” she said in her caption.
She also cited in her post one of her regular recipients, Liza Ibarle, who, due to breast cancer and chemotherapy, couldn’t breastfeed her own baby. Kris swooped in to save the day, providing her with the nourishment her little one needed.
“She was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent mastectomy surgery during her pregnancy. Due to her chemotherapies, she cannot breastfeed,” related Kris.
So, if you find yourself in a sticky situation with breast milk, who you gonna call? Kris, of course!
“I believe not all superheroes wear capes. I make milk, I save lives. It’s my superpower, eyyy?!” she said.
