Filipino-American actor Josh Dela Cruz, known for his role in the children’s television show, “Blue’s Clues & You,” has always proudly embraced his roots. But his recent visit to the Philippines took his Pinoy pride to the next level.
As part of the Tourism Promotions Board’s “Hollywood to Homeland” campaign, Josh explored the Masungi Georeserve in Tanay, Rizal, a conservation area renowned for its karst limestone formations and geotourism practices.
The trip left a lasting impression, turning Josh into a passionate advocate for the reserve.
“Masungi is now one of my favorite places in the Philippines. I couldn’t believe something like this exists and is continuously threatened,” Josh shared, as quoted by the Masungi Georeserve.
The team behind Masungi Georeserve expressed its gratitude for the reserve’s newest supporter.
“Thank you, Joshua, for proudly raising the Philippine flag and spending time with our team. Your support means the world in amplifying the call to protect this precious sanctuary!” it said.
With the massive success of “Blue’s Clues & You,” Josh’s platform as a green warrior for Masungi Georeserve could help bring global attention to the fight for this vital conservation area, home to over 400 species of flora and fauna.
