Bringing holiday cheer the very Pinoy way, Mikha of P-pop girl group BINI teamed up with Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo for a Christmas outreach in the city, complete with Jollibee food, gifts, and a special appearance from the iconic mascot.
Photos from the activity showed Mikha and Robredo personally handing out “Pamaskong Handog” in Barangay Concepcion Pequeña Zone 1 with kids clearly thrilled as the mascot joined in the celebration.
Robredo later shared on Facebook that the outreach has been a long-running tradition in the community, one that began when her late husband, former Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo, was still alive.
She added that this year felt extra special, with Mikha stepping in to sponsor the Jollibee treats for the children.
“Taon taon ta ini ginigibo poon kan nabubuhay pa si agom. Espesyal ngunyan dahil si Bini Mikha an nag sponsor kan si Jollibee para sa mga aki. (Ginagawa natin ito taon taon noong nabubuhay pa ang ang aking asawa. Espesyal ngayon dahil si BINI Mikha ang nag sponsor ng Jollibee para sa mga bata),” Robredo wrote.
