San Miguel Corp. (SMC) just made a major move to help Valenzuela City’s future.
On September 4, the conglomerate donated seven parcels of land, totaling 4,305 square meters, to the local government for the expansion of Gen. T. De Leon National High School.
The big handover happened at the Valenzuela City Hall, where SMC President and CEO Ramon S. Ang, along with San Miguel Foundation Chair Cecile Ang, signed the deed of donation with Mayor Weslie Gatchalian.
Thanks to SMC’s generosity, 6,169 students are set to benefit from this expansion, which includes brand-new four-story buildings with 16 classrooms that can accommodate 2,880 students. Plus, an amphitheater is also on the way to serve as a multipurpose event center, said the Valenzuela City government.
