It took 21 years for Katrina Halili to earn her first acting award but it finally happened when she received the Best Actress trophy from the Emirates Film Festival held in Dubai.
According to a post by Manila Bulletin Entertainment editor Robert Requintina, Halili received her first acting award for her role in the movie ‘Abe Nida,’ while Allen Dizon added another accolade to his collection with his 13th international Best Actor trophy and 51st acting award the same festival.
This announcement was made during a media conference held in Quezon City last Saturday.
Meanwhile, local film enthusiasts can expect to see the film in Philippine theaters later in the year. “Abe Nida,” produced by BG Productions and directed by Louie Ignacio, also took home the award for Best International Film Feature.
