Balakayojan! SB19’s PABLO spills the tea on why P-pop kings have top-notch teamwork

SB19’s PABLO said the band members had to rely on each other a lot to develop their skills while training in Korea.

SB19 has been through a rollercoaster ride to become trailblazers for Pinoy pop. Trained in Korea before their debut, group leader PABLO spilled the tea on their unique experience compared to K-pop idols who also went through intense training.

Unlike K-pop trainees, PABLO revealed they had just one mentor who focused on personality development. When it came to performance skills, they were pretty much left on their own to practice singing, dancing, and producing. He said this might be why their teamwork is so strong.

“Yung Korean training namin, it’s far far from what they’ve been doing sa Korea. We were left to our training room tapos kanya kanya kaming sikap, nagtutulungan kami,” he said.

SB19 was originally managed and launched by ShowBT in 2016. But last year, the members struck a deal with their former management to create their own agency, 1Z Entertainment, with PABLO as Chief Executive Officer. He is supported by Yani de Dios, SB19 Justin’s older brother as Chief Operating Officer.
