Coming home is always an emotional moment for overseas Filipino workers and their families, but OFW Jholee Barres took it to the next level when he surprised his parents by sneaking into their bed completely unannounced after being away for four years.
In his now-viral TikTok video, Jholee is seen quietly creeping into his family’s room in the dead of the night. As his parents slept soundly, he slipped into their bed, positioning himself between them.
It took a few moments for them to wake up and process what was happening, but when they realized their son had returned from Taiwan, their reaction was pure love and joy.
“After 4 years i finally have the chance to hug, see, kiss and finally feel your warm love,” captioned Jholee, leaving viewers feeling all the feels.

In a longer version of the video, Jholee shared a touching message, hoping to inspire others to cherish their parents while there’s still time.

In an interview with Inquirer.net, Jholee revealed that his return was driven by his desire to care for his ailing mother.
“Sa loob ng apat na taon, parang ang damdamin ko mamatay na sa takot na baka mawala na si mama. At the same time, gustong gusto ko siyang alagaan nang personal pero hindi ko magawa,” he said.

Jholee plans to spend two weeks in the Philippines and dedicate his time to look after his mom.
