Bimby Aquino, the youngest son of Kris Aquino, has big plans for his future, and they might invole the law, or even politics.
In a recent interview with entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz, Bimby revealed that he’s planning to study legal management in college, with hopes of becoming a lawyer.
“Legal management. I’ll be a lawyer. Imagine, Atty. Bimb. It’s diverse—useful in business, politics, and even showbiz,” he said, explaining why he’s drawn to law for its versatility.
When asked about a potential political career, give his family’s history—his grandmother Cory Aquino and uncle Noynoy Aquino both served as Philippine presidents, while his grandfather Ninoy Aquino was a renowned senator—Bimby said he was keeping his options open, saying politics would always be a possibility.
He said his grandmother Cory often reminded him that politics should be a calling, not just a career, as it requires hard work and a real opportunity to help people.
He did admit that he knew entering politics would be a challenge. While he believes it is not necessarily toxic, it’s a field where trust and genuine friendships are hard to come by.
“Alam mo naman sa politika. Hindi naman toxic but more of you have to be careful talaga. There’s a saying diba, ‘there’s no permanent friend in politics’ where the wind blows, diba? That’s the sad truth, that’s why if you go into politics, always remember that it’s rare that you get a real friend,” he said.
