It’s shaping up to be a paw-some Christmas for the rescues of PAWSsion Project. Founder Malou Perez shared that after a frantic shirt for a new location, they’ve secured a fenced, one-hectare property in Bulacan to serve as a temporary home for their rescues while they search for a permanent sanctuary.
Adding to the good news, Cebu Pacific has offered charity rates to help transport dogs to Bacolod for their retirement, and Philippine Airlines (PAL), through its PAL Foundation, might waive fees to make the mission even smoother. The group is determined to complete these transfers before Christmas.
Meanwhile, adoptions and fostering have increased, with many rescues finding loving homes as more people step up to support the cause.
“So so many of our rescues getting adopted and fostered to good homes as people slowly step up and show up for the rescues! It’s never a rejection if it’s God’s plan but a redirection because He always always works in mysterious ways. But it’s always always for the best,” Perez said.
The founder also emphasized the importance of financial preparedness, highlighting that PAWSsion Project is listed as a beneficiary of her insurance policy. She encouraged others to consider supporting nonprofits through similar means.
With these developments, PAWSsion Project continues to spread hope and love, proving that Christmas miracles are possible for both humans and animals.
