Air Supply pulls a ‘Taylor Swift’ with sold-out three-day concert in Manila, Gen Zs and millennials score tix as gifts for folks

Air Supply sells out its three-night concert in a matter of days.

The 70s music duo Air Supply managed to pull off a Taylor Swift-level feat with the speed they sold out tickets to their highly anticipated performance at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on December 11-13 this year.

The concert, dubbed “Air Supply: The All Out of Love Experience” quickly became a hot item among long-time fans who seized the opportunity to snag their spots in a flash.

Admission didn’t come cheap, too, with ticket prices starting at a minimum of Php2,500 for general entry. While the Titos and Titas, as expected, couldn’t resist the allure of Air Supply’s timeless music and to relive their youth, the millennials and Gen Zs also got in on the action despite the cost.

Upon scouring the internet, we found some Gen Zers who squirreled away their hard-earned bucks to surprise their folks with tickets to the concert.

Some millennials confessed that they became fans of Air Supply’s music as these timeless songs became their commuting companions, soundtracking those long daily trips to and from work.

While the tickets for the main show might have vanished, the buzz surrounding the event remains thrilling. Even fans from the provinces are appealing for additional dates in places like Cebu and Davao, showing that the fandom of Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock has decades-long loyalty and staying power.
