Pinoy child actors, dreaming of becoming the next Karate Kid? The OG “Karate Kid” star Ralph Macchio and the reboot’s Kung Fu legend Jackie Chan are teaming up for an epic new movie in the franchise.
And the best part is they’re on the lookout for the next gen of Karate Kids from around the globe! Sony Pictures is spearheading the project and has thrown the doors wide open for a casting call to fill the iconic role.
Throwing it back, Macchio rocked the karate scenes in the first two movies, while Hillary Swank joined Mr. Miyagi Pat Morita in the third installment. In the reboot, Jayden Smith and Jackie Chan teamed up to revive the franchise, kicking it up a notch in a film set in China.
