7.8M netizens are loving this introvert boyfriend who got a sold-out tiramisu in Taipei for exhausted GF

A TikTok post with over 7.7 million views is melting hearts across the internet, all thanks to one boyfriend’s quiet act of love—and a slice of tiramisu.

The now-viral video by @‌aemari.i tells her story of her planning an entire birthday trip to Taiwan for her boyfriend, coordinating everything from hotel bookings to train rides. But by Day 2, exhaustion had set in. Feeling drained and emotionally overwhelmed, all she wanted was one simple thing: to try the famous tiramisu cake from Ximending in Taipei.

Unfortunately, when they got to the shop, the cake was sold out. Disappointed and disheartened, they started walking through the night market. That’s when her boyfriend suddenly stopped and said, “Wait, let’s try to reserve a tiramisu for tomorrow.”

She waited from a distance as he returned to the store, expecting nothing but a polite refusal. Ten minutes later, he came back holding a paper bag. Inside? A slice of the coveted tiramisu.

It turns out he had pleaded with the shop owner, who eventually offered him a reserved slice meant for her neighbor. Touched by how much he wanted to cheer up his girlfriend, the owner gave in.

“He’s the one having his birthday celebrated in another country, but I am the one who felt like I received the most beautiful gift ever. My loving introvert boyfriend fulfilled my one childish craving just to lift my spirits,” she said.

Now, users in the comments are asking for a “prayer reveal”—hoping for the secret to attracting a partner just as thoughtful. One user joked, “Girl, what novena did you say? Drop it now!” while others called the story “better than a K-drama.”

@aemari.i Edit: Thank you to those people who have said beautiful things about me, my bf, and our relationship. I see you, and I appreciate that our story has touched your hearts. To those people who have said negative things, said harsh words, I hope you guys find a love so strong that even the simplest, smallest things can warm your heart and soul. It feels nice to feel loved even in the most unexpected and (even) cringiest way. May you guys have the love I have now, and maybe, just maybe, you'll be a little kinder and have empathy to people. For my boyfriend's birthday, we went to Taiwan to celebrate it, me, his family, and him. I planned the whole trip, from bookings to bookings, from itinerary to train rides, every single thing, every single detail. Day 2 comes, and I felt really exhausted. Feeling so tired, down, and felt like I was not enjoying any of it because I have a lot of things running in my mind, lot of burden in my heart. All I want that day was to eat, taste, and experience the famous Tiramisu Cake in Ximending, Taipei. Went there, but to our disappointment, the cake was already sold-out. We left the store disappointed, I, specially – with a really heavy heart. But along walking the street of Ximending Night Market, my boyfriend stopped. He told me, "Wait try natin magpa-reserve ng Tiramisu bukas" (wait, lets try to have a reservation of the Tiramisu for tomorrow). He went back to the store, while I, wait for him in a distance. Expecting the worse, feeling really sad. Minutes passed, he talked with the owner for about 10mns. When he came back, he's with a paperbag of the store. I told him, "Ano yan?" (whats that?). He said, "buksan mo" (open it). I opened the paperbag. To my surprise, it has a Tiramisu Cake in it. I asked him, how come? We thought its already sold-out. He said he literally begged the owner to let him reserve a piece for tomorrow. But the owner said that they are close for tomorrow. He asked and asked and asked for possible solution, expecting to bagged that cake before we go back to PH. The owner told my bf that she has a reserved piece of cake for her neighbor. But she's giving it to my bf since he looks like he really want it. My bf, my loving introvert boyfriend, fulfill my one childish craving just so he could uplift my spirit. He's the one having his birthday celebrated in another country, but I am the one who felt like I have received the most beautiful gift ever – a guy who understand, love, and make me smile. The tiramisu cake was the cherry on top of this trip for me. My bf may got a simple cake, but it felt like he gave me the whole bakery. #fyp ♬ Palagi – Wedding Version – TJ Monterde
